July was the dagger. June was fine!

But look... 5th warmest Summer on record so far!

Or this... Record number of 90s in July for Hartford.

I need June back! Less humid days and breaks! I think we'll get that this month

You still didn't have a record hottest month like New Orleans, Columbia, Charleston, and Orlando had.

Why is the south always the one getting picked on when it comes to record heat?

Were there any northern cities that had a hottest record month of all time?

LOL, even a "hard" summer up north is like an average April or November here. That's funny as hell.

It's 87 F with a 76 F dew point here right now, that was at 1:53. The sun has been peeking through the clouds in the last hour.

89 F with a 76 F dew point now, heat index is at 100 F. Atmosphere is very juicy.

Annual deficit can be wiped out with 1 storm. Just wait till those NorEasters start up, I hope, then southern New England will forget about this 1 of many short lasting droughts.

Hey, and why didn't that super positive PDO that you're always complaining about not give you a below average June-July? And we had two summer months above average, not one (and also May ). That hasn't happened here since 2012, so given the last 3 summers, this is indeed an improvement. We were not dramatically above average, but above nevertheless, mainly due to the minimum temps... Also, MDW was 85/69 for the month. Plenty of "warm enough pool days".. and we had some great convection as well.

Btw, here is the July data

I'm beginning to think about winter because I go back to work in 13 days and my summer break is over soon. Shoulder seasons don't mean much to me.
Can LM help pop up thunderstorms if it's warm enough?

The heat the North gets in the Summer is much more like Southern Summer, than Southern Winter is to Northern Winter.

Well yeah, the north sees more seasonal variation.

Depends on how far north you're talking, a hot summer in a places like NYC, DC, etc. is more or less on par with what you'd find in Florida and a lot of the south. And buildings here are designed to retain more heat, which is hellish without A/C, this coming from someone that loves heat lol.
