Christ, that cool 72F average low is warmer than my average high in the warmest month!

The warmest month in record, July 2006, had an average high of 79F at the university of York.

What's your warmest average low for a month?

I'm not sure. The university had an average low of 13.2C in July 2006, which is probably about average. Linton had an average low of 12.4C, which is 0.4C above average. July 2006 was very sunny, so I'm guessing our warmer lows must come in cloudier month. I'll have a look now and see what I can find.

Looks like the high is 89F today at both city airports and down here in the far south suburbs. Mostly sunmy, dew points in the mid to upper 60's

This morning's sunrise

Yeah, humidity was often very low in July 2006, so even when it was hot during the day, it cooled down at night. Average low in Leeds city centre in July and August is 13C. Probably the same in York so that average low is really nothing out of the ordinary.

The last time I saw a low below 60F was June 20!

Heathrow's average low in July 2006 was 16.7c, at the LWC it was 17.8c, and at City Airport it was 18.3c.
