Drive 30-40 minutes South and you get Dfa. Drive 160 miles southwest and you get a Cfa using the moronic -3C threshold.

The last 30 years has our airport as Dfc. City itself might get Dfb. Last 15 years sees us at Dfb, and due to seasonal lag, the coast manages to hit Dfb for the 30 year period, I'd presume.

We'll be right on the border in the 90-21 period. I don't know if we'll hit 10'C in September or not.

Cfa here like most of northern italy. That said, Csa is not too far, and I'm sure you can find some Cfb on the appenine hills due to altitude. Not sure about D climates. Probably the higher parts of the appenines are Dfb.

More interestingly, I grew up in Lyon which is Cfa, but used to be Cfb, and may have been Dfb some winters in the 50s and 60s. Years like 1985 have been Dfa, and 1987 was Dfb borderline Dfa. A year as recent as 2012 was almost Dfa (February was just above 0c in the average mean). Anyway, a climate with means of 3/22c can fluctuate pretty easily between classifications....

Anyway Cfb is not too far north (Burgundy area) and east, and Csa is to be found some 150 km south. Cfa is quite rare in France but there are some spots. Usually There's little transition between Cfb and Csa climates there. I believe the southwestern part must be Cfb / Cfa / Csa when leaving the atlantic coast going towards the mediterranean.

How can you fall under all of those in a single year?

How did Cfb occur in South Florida?

I am specifiying my own post. One of the coldest years here was 1987 but also when we averaged 5 months above 10c, albeit by a hair.
I don´t know about averages of 1942 what was very cold as well but obviously we averaged at least 4 months averaging above 10 °C back then. Thus looks like thankfully we have had no Dfc years here. In 2010 we had Dfa and probably long time ago as well (might be 1914). So I don´t "closely" border anything.

We're pretty much a mild Csb, but depending on the rainfall and temperatures for the year it can feel feel like Bsh. Some years it feels downright semi-arid around here. Luckily we've finally gotten above average rain the past year or two, but before that there was drought for a few years.
