The 'Golden Mile' in Brentford/Isleworth is full of Art Deco offices.

Most prominent example of art deco here would be the Queen's Hotel:

How could I forget these examples. These are probably the most famous London-wide.

Senate House

Shell Mex House

Many tube stations are also Art Deco style.

I don't know how people can live in North St. Louis. It's a disaster out there. You're playing with your life when you step outside, 5 homicides for a census track of 4,000 people, that's higher than a 1000/100k murder rate

But mostly it's gang-bangers killing each other though right?

A big gang rift can cause insane per capita numbers without any non-gang related murders.

I suspect so, though it still creates a rather unpleasant atmosphere. Probably limited risk to the general public.

It's the same in Gothenburg and Malmö. It creates a sad ripple effect in that people don't go out and that only facilitates gang activity further. Very few murders in Sweden aren't gang related these days it seems.

That's bad don't get me wrong, but it's not a war zone. Smaller high-crime areas typically look the worst on paper.

That doesn't really comfort me personally, even though my city doesn't have a gang violence problem.

Gang bangers don't always shoot straight, and don't generally have consideration for innocent bystanders.
