This is how people perceive Seattle. Strangely, Vancouver has completely different weather reputation (something similar to LA and San Diego).

Is Seattle really perceived to be that cold and snowy in winter in the US? I know it's seen as rainy and gloomy but not that cold. Anyway stereotypical Seattle gets an E from me. The real Seattle gets a D+

People have asked me questions like:
Does it ever stop raining?
Does it snow a lot in winter? (because it's close to Canada)
Do you ever see the sun for more than one or two days in a row?

A D for me -pretty grim.

My winter experience of Seattle (and coastal PNW and Vancouver/Island), was the stereotypical one -drizzly, light showers, cloudy etc. With the exception of one beautifully clear day in Vancouver, sunny days aren't a memory. Didn't seem cold though.
