No contest. Chicago has one of the worst climates in North America while Marseille has one of the best in Europe.
I dont like Chicago's climate either but thats just an exaggeration. Chicago has the nicest climate in the Great Lakes region, especially in comparison with disastrous climates in Wisconsin, Upstate NY, and Upper Michigan

Lol. How do we have one of the worst in North America when most of anything to our north is colder and most of anything to our south is hotter. Exactly what makes Chicago one of the worst?
Lol. Exaggeration much? Your personal vendetta against Chicago is rather pathetic.
Only Minneapolis and Montreal have worse climates than Chicago. I am talking about major cities, not Dakotas. Your bias towards cold winters is rather pathetic.

Yeah, but the poll says otherwise.

Could you not grow papayas in nearby Nice? Winters are so mild there with most years not even reporting a freeze.

It grows well here, and would also grow well in Marseille I suspect. Maybe you're talking about the tropical papaya? Maybe they can grow in the warmest parts of the southern France.
Nah, there isn't any place on France warm enough to hold a papaya. There isn't neither a place in France with warmer summers than where I live (Altea) and papayas die the 2nd winter here where I live with luck, if it's a warm winter like last year (last year's December had avg maximums of almost 20ºC and minimums of 10ºC, this year we are on 18-19ºC with 9-11ºC minimums). There they wouldn't live even a single winter. Monaco has OK minimums, but their winter maximums are low. Nice has got quite lower minimums than Monaco. Neither a mango, maybe avocados on Monaco, but on Nice none of them.
Just the southernmost coast of Spain, southernmost coast of Cyprus and a few warm spots on south Malta are able to grow mangos in Europe, papayas are even more difficult to find in continental Europe.

I don't really give a ****. What other people think has no bearance was to what I vote for/think.
And I forgot climates only exist in major cities. You're a ****ing twit. So Winnipeg, Quebec, Anchorage, etc aren't worse? Dumbass.
Lol. I can understand if you don't like winters that are cold and often snowy, but how does this make Chicago worse than any point further north in North America?
Personally I feel that Marseille has lame winters. If I wanted a mild winter I would like the temps significantly warmer. Florida for example. Marseilles does have better springs that we do (except for May which is very similar), and a marginally better autumn (thanks to our ****ty Novembers). Even though the temps are similar in the summer, I prefer our summers for higher humidity, more thunderstorms, and higher chances of extremes.
The way people go on about Chicago winters on here, you would think it's -70 F there all the time.
