A 26c high is not hot in the summer, it is warm. A 2 low in winter is not brutally cold either, it is average. A 2c high would probably be the coldest day of the year most years.

There's a big difference between what is printed in the tabloids, and what real people actually think.

If people took their weather stories seriously, they'd think London has the same climate as Turpan.

according to the betting markets 34c (93) or thereabouts is expected to be the highest temp in the UK this summer . Range of 32-36c

Really 29C is hot? It's pretty much ideal summer weather around here (not for me, as I like it above 30C). It's not like they are going to issue a heat warning because it's 29-30C or something. Lol

Your news also calls 5-10c in winter, 'mild', when it's not. It's cold to cool.
