I will go ahead and say, best I expect for high is 91 today which would be fine considering temps are inching forward.
Can we trade places? Our situation is the exact opposite: we have no trouble getting a weeklong stretch of 20+ anomalies, but getting more than a couple of below average days is apparently a reach. Last summer had no below average days whatsoever, we set a record for greatest number of 90 degree days in September, we broke our all time November high temperature record TWO YEARS IN A ROW, we set a record for warmest December ever in 2015, and we haven't had a single below average month since January of last year, which was a whopping 0.3 degrees below average.

And now we're having non-stop 90s in May when the average high is in the 80s.

I would like to place an order for whatever protective bubble is surrounding North Carolina that's preventing it from getting the nasty positive anomalies that the rest of the South has been suffering from.

Just had a very heavy downpour here and by the looks of the sky there's probably more coming. Haven't taken a look at the radar yet.

Those temperatures in the northeast are ridiculous. It's literally hotter across Massachusetts than it is across Alabama, and it's already well above average in Alabama.

The temperature in Boston is exactly the same as the temperature here. Boston's "humid subtropical" classification doesn't seem at all unreasonable right now.

Makes sense, nowhere can stay either above average or below average forever (otherwise the averages wouldn't be the averages). I remember us paying the price of September 2001 with December that year, and August of 2011 was repayed with December

This month is pretty much the polar opposite of February 2016; a cold nasty month with a three day monstrous record breaking heat blast. February 2016 was neverending warmth with a mammoth cold blast in the middle of the month

More good news for all the good fruit crops. Nothing is worse for them than dry 90F days in May.
