Update: got some brief nickel sized hail before changing over to rain. A similar thing happened in 2014, but that time the hail looked like ice cubes sort of.
Update a few minutes later: now the sun is out and the rain has stopped. That was a very quick storm.
This is disgusting March weather (reffering to storms before Alex attacks me saying 75 is above average for March, which it is)... record cold over on the Tennessee side.. I'll be gone from here soon but I hope it roasts. I'm loving this, Eastern parts of the state are warm while the west not so much. Atlanta getting in on the well below average weather while Raleigh is also but not as much.

Rain is slowing go a drizzle now and the temp isn't up to 58. So far, 1.59" has fallen giving us 5.10" for the month. That makes May 2017 the 17th wettest May with 6 days left. That's the 13th wettest March, 4th wettest April, 17th wettest May following a wetter than normal December, January and February and the 9th wettest October.
Out if 145 springs, 2017 is now the second wettest with 14.71", trailing only 1873 with 15.42". The normal spring precipitation is 8.10" or just 55% of what has fallen in spring 2017.
Average high should be 74F at this point. Why the **** is it still in the 50s now?
Mid 70s here, average is 82. Not terrible
