Just watched bernie Raynos latest video! Magnificence...

I love how he explains it all and is fast paced just like the weather he is forecasting.

Key points:

1. If Friday trough lingers too long it will shear the weekend system weakening it, that leads to a euro solution.
2. Euro weakens system as it enters us west coast while gfs strengthens it
3. Still up in the air, this could be nothing, or a massive snowstorm for somebody.
He also speaks about the thursday/Friday system in depth.

All I know is I'm getting out of PA just in time to enjoy upper 70s at our lake house and I couldn't be happier. At this point I don't wanna see another snowflake til next winter.

Skipping past Storm #1.....and Storm #2 right now... Lets talk about Storm #3..

Maybe Tuesday was "THE ONE" the watch? 3 of the 4 main models have a coastal storm blowing up and this is just a couple days after a fresh arctic injection and while cold enough air is still around.

Euro is closest to land so only interior gets the big snowstorm but right now all we need to do is see if the storm keeps showing up.. No details yet!

Take a look. Same Hour 168 Tuesday Lunchtime.
Euro Top Left. GFS Top Right. Canadian Bottom Left. Navgem Bottom Right.

Count them....... 1............2.............3 snow events next 7 days to track...in March.

Did Saturday storm #2 go so far south that even Lexington Kentucky is missing out on the heavier snows??? (Looking at the snow total map bottom right)

BTW.. Raleigh and Richmond are below normal for the snow season.. This would put them above normal.

This is not cool... so much is growing ! Is there no hope? Models don't want to lose it but Bernie Rayno says watch out, could be a dud just as a storm... the GFS buries us in earth shattering amounts of ice.... then gives us record cold. Helpppp..... I cant bear to see this happen... meanwhile rest of South scrapes by like nothing happened.

Blooms are gonna get destroyed from the Arctic blast, not the snows.. or not just only the snows. lol Trees will be fine, don't worry. Just wont look "pretty" this spring with the blooms. DC area already lost the Magnolia blooms before they can be full and pretty.

BTW - Impressed with your model talk and stuff. Keep it coming, sometimes I don't see or hear things so it helps. Especially when not near a PC.

Also, I never got a chance to watch Bernie yesterday. Thanks for the summary!

Enjoy! NYC gets buried... this would be an exceptional storm in January for them! Near 30 inches of snow in parts of long island!

None the less, all depends on if this system comes more inland or stays further offshore, if heaviest part comes on shore totals like this are possible

SST anomalies only help to blow this up, offshore of Cape Hatteras Temps in mid 70s, even upper 70s. Offshore north Florida the 26c is the 26c isotherm!

Maybe I should of chose NYC for the poll. lol I'm right under the 25" mark there on that map. Epic for March. Doubt it happens. Fun to track. At least we're not tracking record warmth and humidity.

Bridgeport, CT snowiest March is 21.7" in 1967. They need just 10 inches to have a Top 10
