Greece has been in a brutal heatwave.. About to break though

No heatwaves for the Midwest in the foreseeable future This week will be below average but the July 10-16th period looks to be above according to the graphic

Mid-week storms to follow pleasant holiday weather | WGN-TV

PNA forecast set to go negative so I can't imagine heat dome parking out west for long

Thanks a lot Michigan... Notice how the heat is just to the south of us

This story is just incredible for you folks that don't live in our region. So Gov Christie has closed down all state parks over the holiday over some funding dispute. No parks open to anyone, particularly my favorite state park beach, Island Beach State Park.

But lo and behold, the press got pics of him sunbathing with his whole family on that beach using the Gov's summer mansion right on the beach. Then he had the nerve to say he got no sun while he was there. Unfortunately for him a plane got photos of him sitting right on the beach with his family. Check out the article and the pics. Laughable how our politicians just thumb their nose at the rest of us.

Chris Christie completely destroyed his credibilty the past few years. I supported him after Hurricane Sandy, but since that moment he showed himself to be a corrupt *******

Southern us continues to be absurdly devoid of heat and very cool. Atlanta only 1 90 degree day in june and 2 in may. If greensboro doesnt get there first 90 degree day before july 18 they will break a record for latest. Raleighs is below average on 90 degree days also but nothing like that. This absolutely beyond insane. Whats crazier is Greensboro has an average high of 88! Despite this greensboro is above average for july because of lows and slightly because of highs.

I'm not surprised at all. He clearly doesn't give a crap anymore. Just unfortunate that residents and tourists won't be enjoying the state parks and beaches this weekend. I imagine some businesses are hurting as well.

No, the South is not devoid of heat. It's just not insanely hot. In June, Raleigh, Greensboro, and Atlanta were bang on average to very slightly below average (by like a degree at most).
