They still count cloudy/sunny days.

4pmEST Dew points.

Wind Gusts. Note the direction of the wind. Due South under the Ridge.

And yes it can still be 70s and 80s for some inside a Trough this time of year. Welcome to Summer. NW flow keeping things dry with dews in the 40s and 50s while the surface warms into the 70s and 80s with sun.

Temps Zoomed into this region. Isolated storms popping up

These are my favorite Late Spring/Summer days here. Bottle it up!

Canadian and Euro models have something brewing in the Gulf next week. GFS doesn't at this point.

Wednesday morning next week. (6 days away), system in the gulf ready to hit Florida. Not a strong system which is a good thing but has good rains for the Drought there. Exits and Out to Sea with no other effect to land.

Again Next weekend? Still 10 days but looks like activity picking up in the Gulf.

I really only like hot weather during summer, and my likeness for hot weather wanes quite quickly after about mid-August or so. Like you, I mind hot weather much less during spring than fall since it's much more of a novelty at that time of year. Plus with the higher sun angle, it seems more appropriate. Nothing worse than having a low sun angle with temps in the high 80s.
As much as I hate a hot fall, there is a novelty to having such warm weather with a low sun angle. I realize it's much more common in the South, but 80s in say October are not very common here. It's surreal in a way.

I suppose 80s in October are much more of a novelty there, so I can get that lol.

Down here, it's extremely annoying to get June-like temperatures in November like we're capable of. It almost seems like sun angle has been getting lower for five months for no reason. It's what happens when you're surrounded by extremely warm ocean I guess.

Yeah I'd be annoyed too. I start crying about the heat extending well into September lol. Wouldn't want to be dealing with that in November.
