Deneb probably meant he specifically likes the rapid 40C to 20C plummet rather than incessant 20C highs.

Ideally, I don't like temperature drops that extreme but if I had to have it, it is much better in summer than winter in my opinion because at least at Melbourne's temps that would mean you don't have to deal with frost and snow in winter. How about you guys? Would you prefer if Melbourne had summers as stable as winters currently are and winters as unstable as summer? How would you guys feel about -5 in the winter before going back up to +14 after a few days? And Sydney having sub zero high temperatures for a day or two? Would you like that better?

Lots of heavy (at times very torrential) showers since yesterday evening and continuing. Up to 60mm recorded to 9am today and around 45mm since then - loving it
Was feeling very miserable and sour before this lovely "wet" event. So nice to hear/see lovely and cleansing screaming rains, lawns greening up rapidly, roads/gutters clean and cold south to sou'easters prevailing - much better than nasty icy and moisture-sucking sunny dry westerlies.

A lot of snow in the northwestern high plateau after a storm yesterday. Check the accumulation showed in the sat image: all the dry volcanic belt of the central andes are noticeable in the middle of the white spill

After the "cold snap" experienced in May, it's now quite warm here in Esquel. Temperature was in the neighborhood of 11°C around 7:30 pm. A few weeks ago temperatures were around 0-2°C at that same hour.
