Much of the south still having their coldest September on record despite this "warmup". Warmest day was a few days ago when temp was 10 degrees above average. This warmup has been keeping us about 4-8 degrees above average for highs and 1-3 on lows, nothing like the 10-20 degrees above average the north is seeing.
Jose STILL there (but obviously dissipating and weakening).
Maria looking strong Cat 3 and will troll NC thanks to Jose weakening faster than anticipated.

Forecast high today is 30.6°C, 6.6°C below average
Currently 21.1°C with a dewpoint of 0.6°C at 8am Pacific Time
Should also mention that this mornings low was no warmer than 19.4°C, giving us our first sub 20°C low since 5/19! Normal low was 24.4°C, so at least 5°C below average

The month so far is still below average here, but not nearly the coldest on record. Right now the departure from average for the month is -1.2F.
