I like that.. "only" for 85° end of September. We get these heat moments in September, nothing new, be grateful its going to be out quick. Couple days?
I think the humidity and warm nights are more unusual than the 80s
Chicago u lucky bastards. With your stupid 95F weather and your stupid Cubs and your stupid deep dish tomato pies you call pizza. It's only gonna be 85F here

Lol Im a Sox fan and they sucj this year. Speaking of Southside, MDW hit 95F today (ORD 94F, IKK 92F).
Here you go. Hartford number of 85°F+ days after September 22nd.
I think warm and humid nights are more common. All you kinda need is clouds for that.
Alright, shoulda warm nights + hot days are rare. Usually high 80s means lots of sun which equals cooler night. So maybe not breaking any min/max records but daily mean?
Does this Sept have a shot of having an high average max temp than we had in Aug? As of yesterday the average max was 78.2F at ORD and 78.5F at MDW. August had an average max of 80.7F at ORD and 80.8F at MDW, and along with May, the only 2 below average months here so far this year.
