By the way, in the Indianapolis area at least, there have been 4 winters since the winter of 1997-1998 that have been warm enough to make the top 10 warmest winters on modern record, (the winter of 2016-2017 was a top 10 warmest winter) so with that in mind, I would say that based on that bit of statistical data by itself, that the climate has been generally getting warmer in Indianapolis since the year 1998.
It's getting warmer almost everywhere on the planet. And a more rapid warm up is being seen over the years at a even faster pace. Anyone can check my local area and see that almost everyday the last 3 years has had above normal temps.
12Z GFS continues to look like garbage for most of the US this November, temperature anomalies look extreme for warmth for the northern 1/2 of the US again.
