Yeah but rain lasts short in summer and once it stops, temperature goes back up.

Summer rain here is very rare and it's usually cool when it happens around 18C.
The vast majority of summer days are above 20c.

Normally no. But if you're sensitive to temperature drops (they go down from 40C in extreme cases), maybe you would. But for me, that temp plummet is a relief.

Don't need a hoodie here in rain in summer. Pretty much all summer rain, on the very few days it occurs, is in the form of very heavy showers and thunderstorms that can last anywhere from a few seconds to half an hour during hot days with a tropical incursion creating instability. If it lasts long enough and is heavy enough the temp can drop to the low-mid 20's. If it's daytime, the temp will shoot back up when it's over and will be hot and humid. Sometimes the shower is over before the temp can even get under the high 20's. There can be a sudden spike in dewpoints into the mid-high 20's if it's an especially hot day as a shower/storm hits, then it decreases as the rain event lowers the air temp.

One time ( I think in Dec 2015) there was big raindrops spitting out of unstable overcast mid-level convective cloud with the concurrent temp at 41C.

It can drop 10-20 degrees here in SW Florida during a thunderstorm. Unfortunately it doesn't last long and sometimes it makes the humidity feel even worse.

Only place I've ever experienced warm rain was in Florida. Anywhere I've been in Europe it gets cool when it rains unless it's a very brief light shower.

Was at Pompeii in August 2013 and the temperature dropped from 30C to 18C during a horrendous 2 hour downpour and it was shockingly cool even when it passed and the sun came out. It only recovered to the low 20s which I thought was unbelievable as it was like summer here.

The following July I was in Split, Croatia and the weather was terrible the whole time. Experienced a heavy prolonged thundery downpour one day which saw the temperature plunge to 18C in the middle of the day but on that occasion the temperature did climb back to around 30C after it cleared.
