That's a good analogy. I always hated and dreaded summer living in SELA and the fact that it lasted 9 months of the year didn't help, lol. Where I live now has 4 true seasons and it's wonderful. The humidity here is usually low, so the heat is just that, heat, but not sticky muggy heat like SELA.

Really though, is there anyone who really does like this hot weather?

Low was 78F/26C at MDW this morning. At 8AM already 83F at both ORD and MDW. IKK is at 84F. Dew Points in the 70s. At least one station has an 80 dergee dew point

Looks like the dew points are near 80 degrees along the lake too. Wilmette along the northshore is at 84F at 8AM with a heat index of 97F. That station is located right on the harbor near the water.

Just did a vacuum job on the Corvette and about died just now. Can only do something for about 10 mins and go back inside.

I don't know how i lived without A/C when i was a kid. But our house did not have A/C until 1979. My parenets had a wall unit in the bedroom and Florida room only back in the 60's and 70's.

Some nuts like it.

When we are in a reverse west windflow in the summer and the low is 78 to 84f and a dewpoint of 75+ and you walk out at 530am to get the paper it is like walking on Veuns as the heat just sucks the life out of ya.

every day next week is going to be 31-34c, and with several 20c lows. At least the dews are not too high, it's remained around 15c lately, but we'll see what comes. Typical july weather anyway.

Going to Venice some day this week, I'll see if the humidity is higher over there.

Here's how today is going...

5am-9am:
10am:
11am:
1pm:

after 9am things changed fast. Warm air kept coming in. Sun got higher in sky. People kept saying "wow, its getting hot". My 1pm emotion is because its not as humid as I thought would be today.

2pm gotta give them a drink.

You can tell where the shade and sun is.. Sun burning the grass. I'm more worried about the sun damage than heat actually.

Thank God for trees!

That time of the year.
