Hourly observations in Pittsburgh have been 90°F for four straight hours, though the 2PM observations indicated a six-hour maximum of 91°F. The high temperature in Pittsburgh is at least 91°F today, possibly 92°F, but likely no hotter than that, unless a new maximum is reached during the current hour, which is possible. It's not unheard of for the 6PM observations in Pittsburgh to be the hottest of the day, and with the summer solstice approaching, there's plenty of daytime heating late into the afternoon.

It is blazing here today. Almost no build ups anywhere. Hope we get some late T storms near the west coast like last nite. Slug of dry air aloft to my east so looks like it will be a dry week for most. This could still be a record dry June unless something freaky goes down soon.

The high here today was around 88F with a dew point of around 65F. Absolutely disgusting weather.

I can’t wait til this hot spell passes. I really don’t understand how people like the heat- it sucks the energy out of me and makes me irritated. I’ll take an artic outbreak any day over a heat wave.
