Like Guajara and I said, those maps are totally wrong. If you go to Wunderground, Ogimet, etc and actually check the data for European or Siberian cities you can see that the anomalies are actually near zero or even positive in most places there.
Edit: Actually you can see the western half of Iceland on both of the first two maps and the anomaly clearly does not match, despite the scale being the same. So definitely something is amiss.
Another indication is that the entirety of Asia cannot be 10 to 20 C below average for a 15-day period; that is just abject nonsense even if the Siberian High was having its most stellar month in a millenium.
I'll have to check back to see if it was an uploading error on Weather Bell using the CFSv2 reanalysis tomorrow.

All right, thanks in advance.

It's not even about consistency, it's about the numbers making literally zero sense whatsoever, and not (even remotely) matching the actual statistics in those locations.
Also, I am not sure what you're talking about when you write those equal signs. More like "Cold East US = Warm West US" and vice versa. The statement you're making is way too broad, and just not true.
Rainiest day in Palm Springs in 75 years! "Palm Springs, California, has recorded its third rainiest day on record with over 3.5 inches falling in the city as of Thursday afternoon. The last time the city saw that much rain fall in one day was in 1943." https://www.accuweather.com/en/weath...ornia/70007447
Even Las Vegas is in on the rain, unfortunately there was a tragedy. As you know people in Las Vegas are not prepared for rainy weather, winter storm claims 4 victims: https://twitter.com/LasVegasFD/statu...37015823745024
Austin to reach record high tomorrow with west winds. Some models are predicting 90 degrees! Pure west winds are rare in the winter, usually they are north (cold) or southeasterly (warm/humid). In the summer we occasionally get west winds and that is when we get high temps. There are two reasons for that. The first is that the area west of Austin is desert, the second is that Austin is lower elevation than the Hill Country to the West. Here's a link to explain the phenomenon. https://www.kxan.com/weather/weather...day/1781191271
Snow later this weekend. Probably just a couple of inches.
OK here are the last 14 days for Europe and Siberia/Asia. This looks accurate. Maybe the maps I posted yesterday had and error in their color scheme because the last 14 days included January 31st??
The melt is on, after 4 days of heavy snow cover. Roads are choked with slush. Looks like the West will stay very cold for a while, but we've likely seen the coldest air already up here.

20-25F colder this morning then yesterday afternoon. Felt 50 degrees colder using wind chill
