On the contrary, enjoy the weather because it's about to change. But you need the rain, it's your rainy season. However, California needs it more, during El Nino that's when they need to get dumped on.

El Niño is actually wet for CA because that's where the lower jet is. Mt Shasta southwards sees the effects of the jet while we get collateral rainfall.

Dunsmuir, CA (near Mt Shasta) is expected to see an inch and a half of rain on Friday. We're expected to get 0.20" that same day. And when they expect an inch, they get an inch - it's not like here where storms like to die out before they happen and just drop drizzle.

Winter in Texas. Anyone hungry for that giant lettuce or kale?

This is how the medians are planted in Texas in the winter.

January 30, 2019:

Finally... Something wintry to post.

BEFORE.....DURING.....AFTER THE SNOW SQUALL TODAY. From the Beach area.

note the temp drop.

In process of uploading all my videos and images so I'll have to do a separate post for that.

Here's this for now.......

Ignore the Date and Time but note the minutes. Most intense part lasted less than 10 minutes but it was crazy with the wind and heavy snow

January 30, 2019 Snow Squall. This is what it looked like around here. White out conditions as the Arctic front came through.

44°F at 2pm to 17°F at 5pm.

1/2" snow fell and melted to 0.02" liquid. That's 25:1 ratios. Fluff Stuff

We got quite a bit of snow last night and until this morning, then it started to melt a bit.
