Storms yesterday afternoon did damage across northern Indiana. A drive-in theater is ending the season early after half of their screen was blown down. The scoreboard at a high school football stadium was blown down as well. Tons of tree limbs and whole trees knocked over with wind gusts of 80mph reported in parts of northern Indiana.
Overnight, we got dumped on in Indianapolis with over 2 inches of rain but all the severe weather missed us. Now things will quiet down and dry out for a few days. Temps will be comfortable in the low 80s for a couple days but back up close to 90 by this weekend.
Sunny day here. The high temperature here was 79°F at Midway Airport it reached 82°F and up at ORD officially it reached 80°F
Dry and mild conditions will continue as we flip the calendar from August to September. A weak cold front will usher in cooler conditions by the end of the holiday weekend, but may bring some isolated showers Saturday afternoon.
