2 things that aren't lasting long. Full sunny days (3 in a row at most) and the heat. No heat waves yet but the hot days over 84° isn't lasting more than 2-3 days here.

Cold front incoming. PWATS over 1.5", Instability is low but a couple of rumbles is possible. Flooding possible with heavy downpours
Somehow the rain materialized at the last minute this evening, over half an inch.
Pearson Intl only got 0.015 inches... I think we got more than that still, based off containers I left outside, I'd say around 0.2 inches. Still not enough to make up for the significant shortfall though.
As of yesterday the average high/low temp at Midway is 84.6F/64.7F and the Mean is 74.6F which is +3.2F above normal. ORD's is 82.0F/61.4F with a Mean of 71.7F which is +1.6F above normal. IKK is 83.8F/60.5F with a Mean of 72.1F which is +1.3F above normal.
Euro backing off on some of the precip totals from previous runs. But the Midwest should see some rain chances as the MJO is moving into phases 1 and 2
I ended up receiving 0.95'' of precipitation yesterday evening. A push of drier air tonight should provide a low temperature close to 50F, which is about as cool as it can get this time of year at this elevation.
36c / 98F right now, the heat does not seem to stop and it's not even July yet.
It's crazy. Italian climate is usually so predictable and and progress so harmonically thru the year, with summers kickin in suddenly when July starts, like a 'natural A/C' turning on. But this time all came at least a half a month earlier, with plenty of locations breaking their all time monthly records, including the capital! If it's so hot already I'm scared of what this July may bring there!
