Cold weather isn't going anywhere. January may end up colder than average and break the eight month warm streak that's been going on. Hell, it's about time.
Bear in mind that we have already had 43 consecutive days with at least trace rainfall using 1800-1800. Seven more days of this and we can hit the magic 50, and then one day more to record what is the first calendar month I am aware of with rain falling every single day. And then after that, no rain for the whole of February would be very welcome.
Just up the road in Keighley (nearer the Bingley weather station I quote from) the forecast is even more bleak!
what's wrong with it? I'd look forward. Here's mine:
looking forward to tomorrow. Seems like whenever moisture comes, it get warmer, though warmer in only a relative sense this time, but we had wet and 10°C+ earlier in the month.

If it had been cold here already I would be "Looking forward to it" but it's more below average than anything else here this winter and will be tedious and expensive especially as I live in a stone building with single glazed windows and no insulation where heating to 55°F indoors costs about $4 PER DAY.
