Rainy here, too, low 60's I think. My feet are cold, considering putting socks on instead of sandals, not a good thing in August, but I suppose we need the rain.
One good thing I'm meeting some folks at Luigi's for lunch, my favorite Italian place, better yet only a few blocks from my house!
I'm happy that every summer day isn't like today. OMG it was chilly this morning. It was only in the 50s, but we've got a very chilly wind and~you guessed it~chilly rain.
BUT the bright side of my life is that DH is making a wonderful lunch AND I can see the weekend getting nearer.
Those are all things to be thankful for and happy feelings.
A while back, Debey started a similar thread in our state forum and it's just always such a day brightener to read the positive things that everyone has to say on there. The topics/subjects are pretty open except for "heavy" things like politics or religion, etc. Feel free to share something nice that happened to you OR post smileys or pics or visit or whatever you feel like posting about. This is basically just a "happy, sharing thread". SO, I'll start with a pic of my fave weather. I'm so imaginative. Just feel free to chat and please join in.
Please, no more sun! We're baking here. It's 93 degrees with a heat index of 101 at 8 PM. Here's what I'm looking forward to.
OH, that is a gorgeous pic!!! Tx. has absolutely been baking this summer. I can totally understand why some people down there don't like summer. But your winters are MUCH better then mine.
I wish I could send some cool weather down there. It's been a bit chilly here all day. The wind is chilly and so was the rain.
We are forecast to have a low next week of 59..Woo Hoo....currently it is 12:41 am and it is still 73 degrees with high humid condiditons and this with storms and rain all day!!!!!
I'm happy to see we are getting a break from the high night temps even if it is only for acouple of days...
