I'm happy that the last batch of storms that rolled thru here around 4:30 this morning were not as bad as they could have been. They kinda died out before reaching us!!!

Queso Fresco I just don't know how you guys handle it. That is hotter than we are and simply couldnt take much more heat especially at night!

I will be happy, if the weatherman is telling the truth, that the wind will be only about 15 mph, tomorrow, & the guys can go fishing. However, I *think* they will be taking our boat.....so I will probably need to spend some time, this afternoon, cleaning said boat.....

I'm happy there's a break in the August heat and we're only having highs inthe 80s for a couple of days. That's !

Last year this time I'm sure it was warmer. I remember specifically that in '07 it was 103 and 105 on more than one day in August.

Hey, that's a lot cooler than it has been at night! Lately we've been waking up to 81 degrees for a low.

Apart from Southern Arizona and Death Valley in California. Texas is the hottest state in the nation and many times DFW is the hottest place in the state. We had some really nice cooling rain this morning and then the sun popped out. It literally feels like a sauna out there right now. If you walk outside it feels like someone threw a wet blanket over you. If I could transfer my job to someplace cooler I would leave in a heartbeat. I like the area well enough, but the weather here absolutely stinks to high heaven, especially in August during the dog days of Summer.
