Come live and work in a climate with hot and humid summers. Suddenly they won't be so appealing.
Everyone says that until they get here.

i didnt have snow 5 weeks ago and what difference does it make... someone from siberia may find 20c to still be chilly. and you are from cold climate yourself.

people from continental climates are often used to high temp during summer. so yeah 15c is not hot at all, hardly even warm

Not really. We don't live in the tropics so saying this is cold and thats cold is complete nonsense when we have only really entered summer.

Eh, I know my preferences. I'm very happy when the weather here is "UK-like". Heat and humidity are overrated. I feel like I'm walking into a sauna when I go outside. I start sweating within minutes of taking a shower if the A/C is on. I doubt that happens very often over there. Might get humid at times, but it's usually on the cooler side there.

I was in the Netherlands in late May during unusually chilly weather. I didn't have a problem with it and would gladly take it right now.

oh really. Would you take constant cloud and rain for 2 months though?

It wouldn't be ideal, but yes.

Didn't you find something like 8 C boiling hot for sleeping? You would die here in the summer considering overnight lows often fail to drop below 20 C.

No I said that 12c is too warm for me to sleep. But I can survive if there is AC like it was 25c at 11pm in Spain and I slept like a baby.

Key word: A/C. I prefer open windows and lower electric bills.

12 C with a fan should cool you off sufficiently.

If the wind is calm that night a fan may be necessary to circulate some air in the room, presuming it warmed up during the day.
