dailymail.com domain name sells for $1.6 million, according to The Guardian. Charleston paper to become CharlestonDailyMail.com.

Yeah I have noticed the recent switch. A good trade for the Daily Mail, but too bad there will no longer be any confused readers in England trying to read their news and instead reading about house fires in Saint Albans!

Brilliant! I always wondered how they had the dailymail.com domain name and the London paper didn't. I mean, if they're willing to pay $1.6 million for it, then that's an absolute coup for the CDM!

LOL, that is just a shame!

Maybe the new domain will confuse readers in South Carolina into thinking that Charleston has grown so big that there are new neighborhoods they have never heard of.

It seems to work for City-Data
