That's unfortunate. They still have the location in Ranson, right?

The one in Ranson is doing fine as far as I know.

Is the one in Martinsburg definitely permanently closed??

Default Hilton Garden Inn Now Open

The Hilton Garden Inn opened its doors to guests earlier this week. Pictures of the completed building are on Aikens Group's Facebook. It looks great, and will definitely be a positive asset to our community!

Aldi moved into an empty Staples store in Charleston last year at South Ridge. Is that a coincidence or a trend?

Bad news for the Foxcroft Towne center.

Bon-Ton will be closing all of their stores soon.

That's good that The Common is getting an Aldi. Grocery store traffic is steady traffic, which helps surrounding retailers.

Update:

- Jimmy Johns looks like it could open within a month. Exterior work is done. The only thing missing is the exterior signage.

- I figured out why Aldi is taking so long. By looking in the windows, you can see they have actually knocked out the back wall of the former Staples and are currently building an addition. Walls are up, no roof yet. Otherwise, it's just a giant empty box. It's going to be a while before Aldi gets up and running.
