I've heard that there are metered parking spots at the Chappaqua train station that non-residents can use if they don't have a parking permit. Does anyone know how early in the morning these spots get filled and how hard it is to get one? Also, does anyone know how difficult it is to get a parking permit if you are a non-resident? I've heard there is a lottery system, but do the majority of applicants actually get spots? Thanks.

There are very few non-permit meter spots, and they fill up pretty quickly. There are a good number of meter spots requiring a daily permit, but I don't know what the requirements are for them. You should call up the New Castle clerk, and they can provide the information you need.
