I already live in Williston with my mom for a while.
I have savings, and an okay job.
But I am looking to move out on my own. What is the cheapest apartment you know of to rent? How much is it?
(I'm not interested in living in a room in someone's basement.)

I currently live in a new apartment complex 1 bdr I believe is $2000 or maybe $2100 2 bdr is $2700. This is probably not the cheapest, however I believe there are several units available if you would like information.

On the other hand the cheapest rent is buying a house. My mortgage on the 4 bdr house I just purchased will be about $1300 p/m which includes tax and insurance. No brainer if you can do it.

It all depends on what your goals are.If being close to your mother and making okay money is alright then pay the 2000.00 a month or you could try fargo for the 10 to 13 dollar an hour jobs with apartments for around 400 to 500 a month. How does it balance out best for you. Next best bet is trailer in a T Park for around 800 a month.

Park Village apartments charge $610 for a 2 bedroom but no one ever moved out. Good luck!

On the other hand...Ain't nothing cheaper than living with your Mom. This economy, especially in a place like Williston which is totally effected by the boom is a hard time for young independent folks to be spreading their wings. Hope it works out for you. Mom could probibly rent your room out for a good chunk of change. Give this some thought.

Can anyone give me a list of apartments in williston?

Also, does anyone know of any non oilfield jobs that don't require a degree etc that help out at all with housing?

When I first moved here from Wisconsin, I couldn't find a whole lot of leads for decent rentals in the papers or any other source. My wife bumped into a site called Bismanonline and found a really nice rental property in Mandan. Since it was listed by the owner and not some property management company, the price was pretty reasonable.

Anyway, here's the site and it has a category for rentals: http://www.bismanonline.com/rentals

edit: sorry, I messed up the link!
