I think this somewhat boils down to what you like. Glendale is more urban, closer to the Lakefront and Downtown, closer to the "action", etc.

New Berlin is more suburban, a little quieter and darker at night, close to the city but still fairly "out" in the 'burbs.

I believe currently you can get slightly more "bang for your buck" housing-wise in Glendale currently, but lots will generally be closer together / smaller than in NB as well.

Both are very nice communities. If you are looking for the more "out" suburban life, New Berlin is the way to go. If you are looking to be closer to the "action" then Glendale is the way to go. Both are nice but very different.

Thanks for your reply!!! You have really clarified the difference!

Default New berlin city or not

New Berlin is technically located in Waukesha county, so it is a city in Waukesha county it is not in Milwaukee. Milwaukee is a county and city within its own and Glendale is located in Milwaukee county.

Yet, New Berlin is still a suburb of Milwaukee, county lines are arbitrary.

(and this is a years old thread...)
