Default Are we insane?

Love WI, we're looking to move out of the CO mountains (health and altitude are an issue). Have a brother on Paddock lake and fell in love with it. Looking at Fort Atkinson, or maybe Janesville... I cannot believe the amout of house for the $$ there! I look forward to real gardens and rain. I'd like to hear about the economics of the area, job prospects in any field...

No, you are not. We are planning to move to either upper Door county or Calumet county along Lake Winnebago. Found that I like cows better than Hoosiers.

Thumbs up We're doing the opposite of you!

Funny! We're 35 min from Paddock Lake and are just putting our house for sale to move to Colorado. Love the area we live in (Village of Caledonia, Racine County) but for health reasons we need to move to drier climate.

I know for our area, it's only 25 minutes to downtown Milwaukee and numerous jobs depending on field. We're close to Lake Michigan (5 min from boat launch) and have farm field views. Convenience of city with rural atmosphere. We grow a heck of a nice garden! My coworkers never have to buy fresh veggies in summer!

Check out our area, it's really nice and friendly.

Dea

I'm moving from Illinois to Wisconsin, Two Rivers/Manitowoc area. I've lived in Illinois forever but as I get older I'd like to be closer to Lake Michigan (2 miles away now) and just have a simpler life. I'd like to be able to walk and feel relatively safe, get away from all the cars and congestion. I think it's a great idea!
