Hello, we're moving to Ladysmith, WI from Brooklyn, NY soon because that's where my wife & I were able to find work for the next couple of years. Our son is into tae kwon do and we want to know if there are any tae kwon do classes around ladysmith or the cities around it. Also, what's the nearest city for shopping, movies, & restaurants (aside from eau claire) ? How do people like Ladysmith? How's the education? How are the people there? Are they racially tolerant since we're Asians. How's winter there? Thanks!!

Tae kwon do classes unsure of.Shopping depends on what talking Eau Claire or Rice lake and here as Walmart opening soon. Small movie theatre in town or Rice lake again. Restaurants are few mostly bar/restaurants no big joints here. Education is pretty good and racially tolerant yes. Coming in from New York winters are probably about the same maybe less snow and a little colder but should not be a big variance. Kids will probably like it as sledding all around and tubing and skiing close by.Ladysmith you got to remember is small town living will be a big switch from where you are coming from. Need anything else just PM me as live here right in town.

For rent anywhere from 350 - 700 depending on in town or in country..Ages of houses vary so much from early 1900's to just a few years old. Talk to a realtor and get some prices and such if need names send a pm..1 guy here you may not want to rent from as does not take good care of his property's either(quick patch instead of fix).

The one school is a catholic school unsure of how far that goes in grades, but in general the Ladysmith schools are good.
Highschool is now doing college prep for medical now also.
