2months ago I got few interviews now I am not getting any calls. I am in the health field in the administrative side. I assisted the case manager, i did customet service, billing, account receivable etc...My back up career is a barber/cosmetologist. I have been looking for over a year now in my mainfield. I am kind of self employed doing hair which I put it on resume. Is that why I am not getting calls because now I am doing something not related in medical?

Keep in mind that it's summer and hiring tends to slow down a bit due to people going on vacation, hiring students for temporary help instead of filling full-time jobs, etc. Definitely make sure your cover letter and resume reflects the fact that you want to get back into administrative work though, and demonstrate that you are keeping those skills strong. For example, since you are self-employed doing hair, do you also take care of billing your customers and managing finances of your own business? I would put that on your resume.

some people suggested to take it off of the resume but if i do that i have a gap...no i am not managing like that i go to houses, any more suggestion to put something else on cover letter and resume? thanks.
I always wonder about this too because right now I'm teaching seniors in my neighborhood and community to use the internet...it's in no way related to my legal career but otherwise I am questioned about the gap...I don't put it on...I hope for the best and have mentioned it in interviews when the gap is noted.
When I was first laid off, I took the months off of my resume and only put the years. I was really surprised at how many people thought I was still employed, even though my resume no longer said "20XX - current," simply because we were still in the same year. If your last job ended in 2011, this could be an option.
A headhunter once told me to create a functional resume which highlights skills and experience for the field you're targeting, so health care admin in your case. Chronological would include all jobs including hairdressing and I don't think that will help you secure a job in your target field.
