I'm saying for many corps, collecting resumes which is what he did is round 1. Deciding who to interview is round 2, and that may be a phone interview. If by phone, deciding who to personally interview for the first time is round 3.

If that is his model, you were knocked out in round 1 judging by the response you got today. I do give you credit for trying; it was worth it.

I don't want to sound mean, but TvandSportsguy, this isn't how you do it. If you are sending out a cold email you need to outline your skills and ask for a time to talk about the company, the work they do, the needs they have (if any), and see if you can be of any help. Not all companies out there will need the help. You also need to learn how to work the phone.

Of that was discussed in the email. I just didn't send a email saying..."Are yall hiring?"

First of all who is she? what does she do? this time two days ago I just knew I would have a interview tomorrow. So now I guess i';m not supposed to ask for him anymore? I sent him a email so I could get more information on what this woman does at the company and why am I talking to her.

I only read to post #4 :

To me : This is like a first date. The guy says "I'll call you" but he is just being polite so he can exit the date... You never hear from him again.

You did a random email, got a friendly response that lead to nowhere...

Sounds like he was just being chipper that day and well...you know the rest....
