Better to receive calls everyday instead of NONE. When you get ZERO calls that means you have no way to get a interview understand what I'm trying to explain to you?

A person with NO CALLS is eligible for the streets LOL

Calls without many interviews are no better than no calls. I do realize you had that 2 minute interview last month, but that's hardly cause for celebration.
Calls are not the goal; employment offers are the goal.

Just be on the lookout for my private message when I start working again.

LOL. Only identified that way AFTER you did NOT get the job. Now hopefully the second quarter of this round of being unemployed results in an employment offer-the only worthwhile goal of applying for a position when unemployed.

Yep... now it's Feb and March 2013.

That's what's wrong with the current unemployment system.. 99 weeks, 73 weeks? Garbage.

It's far too long and to see people milking the system is pretty sickening. At the same time though I will take great pleasure when I make my next trip to Philly and get to say "Hi TVSG I will take extra cheese on that. Please hold the mayo and I only want fresh fries not that crap that's been sitting there under the light for 3 hrs."

My spring 2013 vacation plans are set!

Jumping in here to catch up has been hilarious and better than any sitcom! He's just so dreadfully easy to trounce but never gets it.

There should be a sticky at the top of this forum page titled, "Not finding a job? Read here for all the reasons you may be having a hard time!" followed by links to all of his posts in the last five years.

I would become a male escort before working in fast food.

$8.50 an hour ui translates to about $17k pre-tax. Having vacationed in Philly to watch a weekend series at Citizens Bank, and having had a niece attend college there, I know firsthand how expensive a city it is to live in. So while I do think ui needs major revision, and while I do think the OP is 100% unmotivated, the reality is a Ramen noodles and the equivalent diet does go hand in hand with a income far below the median in a city with a high cost of living.

The impression I am getting is that you didn't want the job. Whatever the reasons, I'd say a bare minimum of job acquisition is not really caring about how many times you need to call. Hence, if you're earnestly thinking about that, either the offer isn't really something you care whole heart about, or you're shy or something.

Meh. Obviously you need to be reasonable with how many times you dial, but I don't think one should call it quits until one speaks with the person. T
