Do you not bother reading anything I write? They damaged my resume so badly, that Im having extreme difficulty even getting the chance to interview. I was forced to take a throw away temp job (which is damaging my resume even further), because just about any respectable accounting or finance job wouldnt touch me. I know this because the temp agent I was working with submitted me to several jobs around the level I was at my last job, and I got the same feedback, "job hopper". One interview I actually got to the hiring manager, and come to find out, he is old college buddies with my ex bosses boss. Small world right? I have no doubt that fact right there cost me that one. Only job I got significant interest from, was some temp job, which normally is given to college interns, and I was the only one with my skill level that was desperate enough to even apply. The place didnt even bother bringing anyone else in to interview I was that much head and shoulders over the next guy.

However, because Ive been sitting in that job 4 months, it seems that Im no longer even getting slight interest from anything in the accounting and finance field. Before, probably 15-25% of my resume submissions would at least get a call back, some would end up in phone interviews, some Id blow off, a couple real interviews. I havent gotten a single call back on dozens of resumes Ive submitted in the past month, and even two agency reps that have relationships with hiring personel couldnt manage to sell me to positions they thought I had a decent shot at.

So, how exactly, should I NOT be blaming them for this?

Hmmm. Sounds like your ex-employer thinks integrity is worthless.

What is the point of caring who to blame? You obviously need to rebuild, and it will most likely take several years of steady employment. Blame placing and a dollar will but one a dollar off the Mcd's special menu. It's a worthless use of time and energy.

Money becomes less of a concern when you are talking about very high 5 digits at minimum. Before that point, money is absolutely a motivator, and that is where most of us are sitting.

Even in quite a few 'cheap' areas 50k - 60k doesn't really buy you much like it used to. I guess even if a person does 'deserve' a job, they don't seem to deserve to live a decent lifestyle according to the mentality of a lot of corporate leadership. Sure, they can say this because they run the show and they run away with the majority of the loot. And then they wonder why half of the public wants to take the 1% + cronies and drop them in the ocean.

Heh, I'm still waiting for on the bill man to accept looks or positive thinking as payment...

He seems perfectly human to me, someone who has finally awaken from the Matrix and stepped out of it.

Just because I don't expect people to roll out the red carpet and kiss the ground I walk on when I enter an establishment doesn't mean I don't know what customer service is.

You need to lose the entitlement mentality.

He seems hell-bent on doing anything possible to not take responsibility for his own situation. That is hardly 'awakening' from anything. That is giving up.
