I've been racking my brain about what I'm really passionate about for years now...and it seems so silly that I gave this so much thought when it ended up being really simple...

It just dawned on me the other day that Im happiest when I'm creating...photography, jewelry, a room I designed then decorated, drawing, inventing. I wonder how I could incorporate this love for visualizing/creating into my career choices? I do photography as a hobby, but wonder if there's a career I could switch to that would fulfill this part of me?

What are you passionate about/happiest doing? How is it a part of your career or everyday life?

Nature and Wildlife is what I am passionate about. I am going to school now, but I work part time for the local parks system teaching little kids and the public about them at the local Nature Center So it actually all of what I do at work!

If you are creative enough, I think you can come up with something! There's always selling products online - you know just to start out! I know someone who makes their own beads and bracelets part time and she makes a decent amount, but she also has her real job. I am sure you can come up with something to make it a full-time career, plenty of people do

I'm passionate about several things. Music for one. I have composed a lot of material that folks seem to enjoy, but I have no interest in making a career out of that. I love nature and the outdoors. Another thing I don't care to make a career out of. Thing about hobbies.. You do them because you enjoy them, and no one forces you do spend time enjoying them. As soon as you're suddenly obligated to spend time doing it, I believe that takes a lot of the fun away.

Wonder if porn stars ever get bored with their jobs

using TIME how i want to. whether i want to go to the gym, eat, play video games, watch youtube videos, listen to music, sleep for 10 hours tonight, or anything else. i don't have a passion for a specific activity because i feel that choosing one thing limits me from all that life has to offer. i have a passion for options and free time and freedom. i realize this is all anyone has ultimately and with each passing day, we come closer to death. people don't realize that time also involves the dissolution of YOUTH. you are not only losing each day if you don't use it towards your happiness but you are getting older which will also limit what you can do over time. better live smile and be happy every minute of life when possible. no one is promised tomorrow. and i second charles above. beating the system is always fun, heh heh.

My passion is in international politics and diplomacy. My dream job would be to serve my nation via Foreign Service, specifically as an ambassador. I follow current events and enjoy reading about the history and geopolitical issues of Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa. I also enjoy researching and writing so journalism is something that appealed to me (I wrote for my high school newspaper as well).

Unfortunately, I don't have an Ivy League degree and I need to make money to support my parents and sister so I crossed the aforementioned off of my list as potential careers and went into the Finance/SCM route in college.

Haha everyone has a passion for those things because they are fun. No one has a passion for answering phones, writing programming code, or cleaning toilets, but those jobs need to done. Not everyone can be a Sportscaster, Rock Star, or Park Ranger!

Actually, I enjoy answering the phone and working at the front desk. It keeps me entertained with all the questions and comments people make

I know several people who have tried to turn their passion into a career, e.g., starting a professional photography business, creating jewelry to sell on Etsy and at craft shows. What many of them learn is that, once it becomes a "job," it's not as enjoyable for them. Plus, a lot of the creativity is lost when you are trying to produce something for mass consumption. If it's the artistic nature of the hobby you enjoy, you will quickly become disillusioned with untrained eyes telling you how *they* think it should look.

There are some people who are VERY successful in something they are passionate about, but they're also very realistic about the pro's and con's of being in that business.

Remember, there's a reason it's called "work."
