So, you can take off as much time as you need, but only 2 hours can be from sick leave? The rest has to be from vacation time? Honestly, it doesn't sound like a big deal to me. Most appointments won't take more than 2 hours. We only have PTO, and any time off we take comes out of that. It sounds like they are trying to keep people from going to the doctor at noon, and taking the rest of the day off and calling it "sick."

"Unscheduled" should be reserved for the boneheads who don't show up on time, and fail to even report they will be late, or worse - no show at all.

Well I guess this shows how much I know (and btw, how much I wouldn't be in a position to even know) ... I was talking with a co-worker today and she's been with this company for 40 years and mentioned how that has me so miffed, she said "its' always been that way, I don't know why that was announced as anything new, that's how it's always been, I've been here 40+ years and it's always been that way, 2 hours for a doc appt.".

Well who knew?

Certainly not me!
