Hey everyone I just finished the pre-recorded interview. It was a lot harder than in-person interviews. I started stuttering near the end and couldn't say adaptability correctly. I'm pretty sure I failed the interview. Oh well.

Wow that is a weird interview process. Lol @ the math test for an HR position. Maybe it is just a routine sort of process but damn, they are really pulling out all the stops for this. Hm. Well good luck to you though, maybe you didn't do as bad as you thought you did.

I love companies that value capable, eccentric introverts. It helps guarantee that all potential options are explored in a crisis.

In what planetary system do these companies exist?

I heard that through Trader Joes for a "Joey" position. It is relatively new but not unheard of.

What are the idiotic companies coming to where they don't want a loner/recluse/nose to the grindstone/no time for small talk employee? Most loner/introvert types are extremely driven, productive, knowledgable and GET STUFF DONE!!!.

Im not saying you need all introverts around but a few is actually smart to have if you are in management. Bring a bunch of outgoing extroverts to the workplace and very little gets done except chit chat.

You also don't need to worry about constantly keeping an eye on the introverts. In most case, you know they are getting things done. They don't need to be monitored every minute of the day.
If you are being hired by a big box store or retail store working with customers as an example, that is exactly the person they do not want. They want the person to be outgoing and friendly with customers, and be willing to help them at any time.

Yes yes, but it's not just retail. It's virtually ALL employers.

Often many of the questions are not even considered you will find just their to hide some of the real simple questions that tell a lot of people answer quickly and honesty. Normally a test need for security will be explained to you what it showed also. I was quite surprised on one I took years ago; now accurate it. Of course the interview is also part of test as they are straight questions and answers .

I'm finished with playing games.

I was trying to find some part-time work for the weekends so I'd have a little extra money to finish some house projects next winter.

One place was making candidates drive all over the state to several interviews. This was a minimum wage temp job. I declined after the second interview.

Another place (minimum wage job) had a skills test (OK) but then wanted me to come back three additional times. The third time I was told they are looking for a "pool of applicants."

Yesterday (Saturday), I sat through nearly 20 really stupid behavioral questions for a minimum wage cleaning job from a child who looked barely 19. On the 21st one, I pulled out my card, and set it on the desk, saying, "I clean toilets, sweep floors, and empty waste baskets. I can pass a drug test and background screening. Phone me if you want someone willing to do the work. Otherwise, you're wasting my time."

Then I walked out.

Seeing her jaw on the floor was worth it.

Yes, I think I'll start my own cleaning business, again. I'm sure they are some good, professional HR people out there, but I certainly haven't met any lately.
