Direct deposit with the pay stub being available online.
Same here The only time I get live checks nowadays is when I start a job (the first check usually isn't direct deposited) and when I leave a job (every one of my "last checks" has been mailed to me).
Prior to that the only jobs where I received live checks were the jobs where I was in high school (Safeway, Taco Bell, Department of Parks and Recreation).
I worked at McDonalds as a teenager. That was the only job in my entire career that physically gave me a check. Everything since then has been direct deposit. Sometimes they mail a stub to my house, other times it's online only.
I hate going to the bank... I don't think I'd work for a company without direct deposit.
I remember when I was younger banks would be swamped on Fridays with everyone cashing their checks. Of course, it was also a blue collar factory town so probably a lot of paycheck to paycheck people that couldn't wait until Monday to have the money in their account.
Direct deposit. Pay history/stubs are accessed online.
I cannot imagine going old school and receiving a paper check as my standard means of pay. With direct deposit I not only don't have to do anything, but i have access to my funds sooner.
Direct deposit. Check stubs are supposedly online somewhere, but no one I have asked has any idea how to access them. If I want to know my take-home pay I have to check my bank account to see how much was deposited.
Edited to add that I have been here almost 2 years and have yet to find out how to access my pay stubs, so it's not like I started last week and I just haven't gotten it figured out yet.
