Companies push out older workers because they realized they can't exploit you anymore. They can't crack the whip and expect you to show 150% effort and ignorant enough to blindly follow poorly derived decisions.
That's why companies recruit the young because they need to brain wash them and impose their wills even if they are evil and wrong.
A lot of older workers took out enough dirty laundry to realize what is going on eventually voices them. If they don't they may eventually do.
