I try and read the whole, sequential thread before I post and if not, I put in a disclaimer to that effect....
Anyway, 40 years ago as an attractive, personable, very hard worker, I was rumored to have slept my way up the ladder with every boss I ever had. Nobody mentioned that I worked long hours, produced excellent work and stayed out of office politics. I worked in an office FULL of women, the worst, to me...... I did get along with the men, I was raised with 4 older brothers so was comfortable with men, more so than women. I found men more honest and able to look at the job performed rather than whether I was cute or not......JMO.

I don't understand why people bother to post if they question the facts in my question. Why waste your time?
Because you present no evidence you actually know she slept with him, or even if she did, that this is why she got the promotion. It's all assumptions on your part, and assumptions are open to questioning.

Because I find that the women are usually the most vicious and catty where other women are concerned in the workplace. I thought the OP was female. It sounded like it to me, based on my personal experience with female coworkers. My bad. On the other hand, I have had a few superb female working companions.
eta: just noticed the OP is "Sam??". I have a good friend, as well as, a niece called Sammie/Sammy. With that and the circumstances of the story, casually thought it must be a female. (I recognize I am digging a deeper hole here but am being honest)
