A lot is going to depend upon whether you are an employee or you own your own business.
Anyone who has trouble waking up on time in the morning is going to bed too late. In the general scheme of things, your job is more important than staying up to watch a TV show.
I'm up at 5:15 to be to work by 9am. But, I work out in the morning, so I need time to get that done before I shower, eat breakfast, and get ready. Realistically I could sleep longer as I work a 5 minute walk from work. But I like my quiet morning time.
I'm in bed by 9 most nights. I struggle thru the day if I go to bed much later than that.
I own my own business and can make my own schedule. I don't really get up early for work, but to get my high school student off in the morning (I like to chat and say goodbye), so 6:20.
My husband gets up at about 7:30 for work, so if there's no school, that's generally when I get up, though sometimes I will sleep in until 8:00 or so.
My hours are sporadic. If I have to work the morning shift, I wake up anywhere from 1 AM to 6 AM. I wake up an hour before my shift starts so I can have some time to have my coffee and get mentally prepared for the day. My commute is a 2-minute walk to the office and then typically from there I'll travel up to 5 hours to my job site for the day. Luckily I can sleep during that time. Probably half my schedule is morning shifts and the other half is night shifts. I prefer the AM shifts so I can get it out of the way. The night shifts are usually all-nighters and it takes like a gallon of coffee for me to stay awake.
Retired now , but when I was working I was early to work by at least an 1/2 hour and choose to find a coffee shop some where in the vicinity of work so that even if traffic was bad due to an accident or flat tire I still had plenty of time to get there.
Then I was living in the mountains in my 40s an 50s , 5;am get up run 5 miles and shower, head for the coffee shop near work, and come in assess the work that needs to be done and be ready before clock in .
Because the traffic was really bad at quitting time ,I'd go to the coffee shop and wait till the traffic normalized ,and then head home in relative ease, very little stress .
Easier in the vehicle, and easier on me.
I start work at 8:30. Up at 7:30-7:40 if I have to shower or 7:50 if I don't. Our the door at 8:05. It's only 4 miles, but I take a scenic route rather than fighting rush hour traffic on the highway. Plus it takes a while to get into the parking ramp, find a spot, and make my way to my desk.
Most days I go to bed around midnight, sleeping by 12:30.

Or they have some kind of sleep disorder, and CAN'T maintain a normal schedule! That's always been my issue (I have DSPS), so I've learned to live on 3-4 hours of sleep on work nights, and also get ready VERY fast in the morning.
Thankfully my job has later hours already, and commute is very short... so I wake up anywhere between 9:30am-12pm, depending on the day (my schedule varies). I'd probably die of exhaustion if I had to be up as early as the rest of you guys.
