I have a background in hospital administration and went to graduate school, obtaining a dual M.Ed. mid career in order to teach. For a number of reasons, I've decided to leave the classroom and pursue something in either private school (parochial, special edu, prep) or higher education (college or university) administration (considering admissions, alum affairs, or other) I've found a number of positions of potential interest, but given that I have no education administrative experience, employers are either not interested or the salary is too low. Interested in hearing from others who have made this change. Thank you!
