Oh yeah, OT but... the mention of the fact that companies use the temp agencies to find people because they are not good at finding the correct "fit"... that is what I thought. Used to be that way. NOW the latest trend is for the temp agencies to find the talent and then you STILL have to interview with the company for A TEMP (not even a temp to hire!) POSITION! What happened to the old days where you would send in a temp, if they did not "fit" they were sent away and they got a new talent.
Makes no sense to me at all....
This is what happened to me last year. I was with an agency I had dealt with for a few months. They sent me to meet the client. They interviewed a few other people and I got the job. It was 'just temp' with a very vague end date.
Companies are very paranoid about getting 'the right fit' I suppose, even for temp work.
Had interview a couple a days ago and I felt it went GREAT! I found out that I would be the first interview scheduled and so I prepared for it all week. It was a comfortable interview with a two pannel and I could tell that the CEO was so facinated with my response on customer care that he put his pencil down and was interested in knowing more. Because I was the first interviewer they had about 5 scheduled for the next to days, so they said they had to finish interviews and that HR would give me a call ASAP. so you never know...
Usually they set you up for a second interview right away if they really can "use" you.
The CEO was probably taking notes, so he could use the information for free and pass it on to others, without giving you credit for it.

Awww, it's hard enough to keep your hope alive and try to remain positive without somebody downin' on ya! Good luck, Edskyblue. I hope you get good news very soon!!
you never know---- my best jobs were when i was 2nd or 3rd pick of the draft.
i got called after crazy suzy or mad larry (their relatives) they had hired fell apart.
Good luck to everyone going on interviews.
I could use a bit of luck..there is nothing to apply to here!

To the OP: that was an easy question! If you got the job, the one thing you NEVER have to worry about is hearing from the company. Often, the person who gets hired is the only one who does.

don't overanalyze a job interview, just move on to the next interview and if you get it great, if not, there is always tomorrow
