Hello all. I have a letter of recommendation that was written in 07 and several from 08 ( I think).

All together I have five of them and I am wondering if I need something more up to date. I hate to bother the physicians who wrote these with writing up to date ones.

What do you think?

TIA

I think they'd be OK for 2-3 years. After that a prospective employer would probably want something more recent. But that's just me, others involved with hiring might have different opeinions. I'm not sure there is a firm answer.

I keep all my letters of reference. Put them in a plastic sleeve and bring them with you in an organized notebook in your interview. It impresses people that you have references from past history.
