Let's compare car prices around the world. I find this very interesting because most people do not realize how much car prices vary around the world.

I will give you a quick example based on two countries I am familiar with, USA and Brazil, basically the same car in Brazil will cost sometimes 3 times more than here.

I was thinking of a car that you can find all over the world so here it goes:

2014 BMW 328i- MSRP price-$37,400 USD- USA
2014 BMW 328i- MSRP price-$189,000 Brazilian reais or $84,476 USD-Brazil

A standard sports model in Australia will cost about $66,000 Australian or about $61,000 US dollars. Of which about $12,000 will go to the government in taxes.

I seriously doubt that. Brazil is an even poorer country than the USA so pricing the car at 3 times the US price means they would not sell any cars at all. That is not how a free market economy works. Last time I checked, Brazil did not adapt communism.

When I still lived in the US we went shopping for used cars at places like Carmax and official dealers and used cars were very expensive compared to my home country, approx. 50% more expensive. I know now where the jokes about 'used cars sellers' come from. Never saw such a bunch of cheaters in my life before.
