um....wouldn't it depend on which country the whole world would end up being? If the whole world were China, the capital would obviously be Peking. So what you're actually doing, is asking us to vote on which country we'd want the world to be. This is a scenario I prefer not to contemplate.
NYC or London if one goes by financial/economic reasons. If one goes by religious reasons, I would say Jerusalem. If one goes people population, perhaps Beijing.
Not NYC because americans try and claim everything.
..and then you claim that the capital of your own country should be the capital of the world?
I have to say this is one of the strangest hypotheticals ever. If the UN ever resembled a government, it's seat would likely still be in NYC. But if the world ever became one single country in some unexpected collective gesture of unity, the city would need to be a blend of everything and not be a symbol of imperialism. I'd like to find a better choice than Istanbul but I can't.
edit: I'm sure there are better picks, given that 100 years ago, Istanbul was a symbol of imperialism.
